Washing Machines
Almost all washing machines are 60 centimetres (24'') wide. American-style washing machines are the notable exception, which can measure up to 80 centimetres (32''). American-style machines have a larger volume and are sometimes top-loaders. In the UK front-loading washing machines are ubiquitous; front-loaders have the washer-door in the front, and top-loaders have the door on top. Front-loaders have the benefit of fitting snugly under the work-surface without obstructing the washer-door.
If short on space, consider a washer-dryer. A washer-dryer not only washes clothes, but dries clothes too. A single washer-dryer takes up less space and usually costs less than buying a washing machine and tumble dryer separately.
When buying a washing machine consider the machine's capacity. Capacity is the amount of dirty washing a machine can wash in a single cycle. Over the last 10 years we've seen the average capacity increase from around 4.5kg (10lb) to around 6kg (13lb). When buying a machine, err on the side of caution. It's generally thought that 6kg is adequate for a small family.
In the UK all washing machines display a EU Energy Label. The EU grades machines not only on energy consumption but on washing performance and spin drying performance too. These criteria are graded on an A to G scale, with A being the best, making AAA a perfect score. An AAA washing machine will cost less money to run and will do a better job at washing clothes.
Reputable washing machine manufacturers include Hotpoint, Bosch, Zanussi, Hoover, Whirlpool, Miele, Lg, Indesit, Siemens, Maytag, and Candy.

Integrated Washing Machines
An integrated or built-in washing machine saves space in your kitchen or laundry room

Cheap washing machines
You can get a quality washing machine for under £300, and just because they fall into the lower price bracket, it doesn’t mean they are inferior. Budget washing machines have many of the features of the higher-end models, including energy efficiency and load settings.

Freestanding washing machines
A freestanding washing machine is ideal if you want the option of moving your machine at any time. It can be pulled out with ease, to be cleaned or maintained. Freestanding washing machines vary in load capacity from 5kgs up to 10kgs. Freestanding washing machines come in white, silver or black to match the design of your kitchen or laundry area.

Large Capacity Washing Machines
If you have a large family or prefer to take care of larger wash loads compared to many smaller loads, then a large capacity washing machine would be ideal for you. Washing machines vary in load size, from the smaller 5kg capacity up to 10kgs. Large capacity washing machines are also great for washing duvets and curtains for example. They can be more energy efficient than smaller load machines as the need to use it as often is less. For complete energy efficiency it is best to fill the drum at each wash.

Top of the Range Washing Machines
A high end washing machine will often provide better features, such as a faster spin speed, further washing options, and possibly a bigger drum. Top brands include Miele, Bosch, Siemens and AEG Electrolux. It is worth noting that spare parts for top range washing can be more expensive than those from other manufacturers.

Silver Washing Machines
A silver washing machine is increasingly common as consumers opt for stainless steel/silver appliances for their kitchens
Washer Dryers And Integrated Washer Dryers
Washer dryers are great for those with limited space, eliminating the need for a separate washing machine and tumble dryer. Washer dryers have a drum capacity of around 5-8kgs which is classed as a medium sized capacity, and usually just right for a medium household, doing an average amount of washing.Recent Discount Codes on Washing Machines Products
